Cyclist airlifted to hospital after collision with lorry

A cyclist was airlifted to hospital after a collision with a lorry in Bradford on the A6036.

The injured man, believed to be aged in his 50s, is said to have suffered severe leg injuries. Police said his injuries were not life-threatening.

The collision happened on Halifax Road, near the Villagio Italian restaurant, at about 6pm.

Both the cyclist and the lorry were travelling away from Bradford at the time in what police described as “slow traffic”.
