Cyclist dies in B1253 tipper lorry crash near Sledmere

A cyclist died when he was hit by a lorry in East Yorkshire.

The cyclist, believed to be a man in his 50s from Driffield, was struck on the B1253 near Sledmere on Friday afternoon, police said. He died at the scene.
Police said the cyclist and lorry were both heading towards Sledmere when the crash occurred.
The 29-year-old driver of the Iveco tipper lorry, from Bridlington, was treated for shock.
