Grant Gourlay, 48, was travelling on the A926 between Maryton and Kirriemuir in Angus on Wednesday April 16 when he was involved in a collision with van. He died at the scene.

Cyclist Dies In Collision With left-turning HGV At Ludgate Circus (03/04/14)

A cyclist died at Ludgate Circus this morning following a collision with a lorry. The driver stopped but has not been arrested.

Boris Johnson has got Transport for London and the boroughs to join forces and ban all unsafe vehicles from within the M25, a move that should come into force later this year.

This cyclist is the third to die in London in 2014.

CTC's view: 

CTC is saddened to hear of yet another cyclist killed in collision with a lorry in London. Lorries were involved in a third of fatal collisions with cyclists in London in 2012, yet they make up only about 4% of the traffic.
